10 Easy Ways to Glow Up Inside Out That Really Work!

Hello beauties!

I am very excited to share with you all some easy tips and tricks to glow up and feel gorgeous. 

I am personally always very busy with a toddler, but finding some time to feel good about myself is essential to me. Here I am not talking about super tricky tasks, but easy day do day things you can do that will improve your mood, your energy, and the way you perceive yourself. Let’s be honest; how others perceive us has a lot to do with the way we see ourselves.

Here are ten ways to glow up inside out that I practice myself:

1. DRINK LUKEWARM LEMON WATER EVERY MORNING

You probably heard many times about the benefits of a cup of lemon water in the morning. The one I take is a little different. I use half of fresh lemon and add one tbsp of Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, some honey, and a tiny bit of cinnamon (Get it HERE). You won’t believe how beneficial this is. It’s like a magic elixir for your body and skin. It’s loaded with antioxidants that keep your skin looking youthful and bright, it detoxifies the body, it prevents cancer, and it promotes weight loss.

2. HAVE SMOOTHIES AND ADD GREENS

Smoothies are an excellent way to increase your intake of fresh vegetables and fruits. There are so many recipes for smoothies that promotes healthy skin. My go-to is a smoothie made with pure coconut water (super hydrating), one banana, one cup of spinach, one apple, a little bit of fresh ginger and half lemon. I love to add collagen powder to my smoothies. I use Life Brand Collagen Powder from Shoppers Drug Mart. Drink this every morning and see the glow on your skin soon enough.

3. REDUCE YOUR SUGAR INTAKE AND DRINK A LOT OF WATER

We all know that sugar is not so healthy, but the problem is that it can also cause our skin to age faster. That’s why I prefer fruit over refined sugar since it hydrates the body, and it’s full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Not saying I never eat sugar, but I surely learned to prefer unrefined types over time. Water is essential for the well being of our entire body, and ensuring we drink a lot will have significant benefits on the appearance of our skin. And soon, it will make you glow!

4. EXERCISE AT LEAST 20 MINUTES EVERY DAY

Did you know exercising promotes not just a healthy body, but also good skin? Sure enough, this pandemic didn’t help, and I am missing the gym like never before. But according to your lifestyle, there are plenty of activities you can do indoors or outdoors and if there is no time or you don’t like so much to exercise a walk in nature is both good for your body and your mind. Exercise is proven to boost your mood, your energy level, and your happiness, which has a lot to do with self-esteem and self-love.

5. USE A TONING BODY HYDRATOR EVERY DAY

Hydrating your body each time you take a shower is like a cuddle to your skin, mainly because when we use soaps and body wash, it can be quite harsh and dehydrating. In Italy, women never skip this beauty routine and buy creams and butter that helps tighten the skin and reduce cellulite. My very favorite body butter, it’s Palmer’s Firming Butter (Get it HERE), and I can personally tell you it smooths the skin and improves the overall appearance. It smells so lovely and makes me feel good. You can find it at Walmart. The packaging is not fancy, but I promise the results are.

6. TAKE VITAMINS FOR HAIR

They say that hair is like a woman’s crown, and I agree. It’s important to understand that even when they are healthy, we should maintain them with the right products, and adding a supplement can lead to great results. I went through a long time of bad hair and had to cut them into a short bob because I couldn’t handle them anymore. They taste like fruit, and I noticed a dramatic improvement in my hair texture and growth.

7. PRACTICE SELF LOVE AND POSITIVE SELF TALK

Don’t underestimate the power of self-love and positive self-talk. We always focus on negativity or what we don’t like or wish to change. It’s just so natural to do so and also self-sabotaging. It takes time, and we all have bad days, but remember, thoughts and words become a reality. The more you focus on negative aspects, and the more you will feel insecure and unhappy, dimming your natural light and potential. But when you focus on all the good, more good will come. More self-love will lead to a new you that will shine. There is always room to improve, but learn to love and celebrate the gorgeous woman you are, here and now.

8. HAVE A SIGNATURE SCENT

Having a signature scent means that you have a favorite fragrance that you always wear, and you wear it so much that it comes to represent you. A signature scent is associated with you, and people remember you for it even when you’re not in the room. Quite cool, right? Not just that, smelling your favorite scent on yourself is a mood booster. I think it is best to have two signature fragrances: a more delicate one for spring and summer and a more intense one for the winter. My signature scent for summer is Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana (Get it HERE), and for winter, I use Angel by Thierry Mugler (Get it HERE).

9. DON’T BE AFRAID TO CHANGE UP YOUR STYLE

Do you know that wardrobe full of clothes you never wear? Wear them and rock them now. Leaving behind (just temporarily) your favorite denim and daring to wear other stuff will make you feel refreshed and put together. It will make you feel good, not to say that you will have more pictures with lovely outfits to upload on social media…just saying.

10. ADD SOME LIPSTICK AND ATTACK

Like…literally. Don’t be afraid to use bold colors. You don’t need to be a makeup expert, go for that red lip. A bold lip can be a great confidence booster and make you look put together. You can skip (and probably you should) on the eyeshadow and save tons of time. And if you decide to go for the red lipstick, pair it with a white outfit and you will look super chic.
